Before you start
A PDF you have permission to edit and a saved original copy.
1. Open and inspect
Open the PDF editor and choose your document. Navigate to the correct page and zoom in until the target area is clear.
2. Use Erase
Choose Erase and mark the area you want to cover visually. Resize the cover and check how it sits against the page background.
3. Download a new copy
Review the edited page, open the download dialog and save a separate file. Inspect the downloaded file rather than relying only on the preview.
Check the result
Try selecting or copying the covered text in the export so you understand what remains.
What to know
Whiteout is cosmetic. The original text remains in the file and can be recovered. Use Redact for sensitive page content.
