How to merge PDF files in order

Combine separate PDFs into one document, with the pages in the right sequence.

Before you start

Two or more PDF files that you can open without a password.

1. Choose your PDFs

Open Merge PDFs and select the documents. Work from copies of the originals so you can rebuild the pack if you spot a mistake later.

2. Set the document order

Arrange the files in the order the reader needs: cover letter, main document, then supporting material. File order controls the sequence in the combined PDF.

3. Combine and download

Run the merge and save the result with a descriptive name. Reopen the download in a PDF viewer rather than checking only the input list.

Check the result

Check the first and last page of each source document, the total page count and any pages with a different orientation. Merging keeps separate page sizes; it does not automatically make every page A4.

What to know

Merge is a browser tool in the FOLD source. It combines pages; it does not rewrite their text or make scanned pages searchable.
