A PDF you have permission to edit and a saved original copy.
1. Open and inspect
Open the PDF editor and choose your document. Navigate to the correct page and zoom in until the target area is clear.
2. Use Select and undo
Use Select to move an annotation. Use Ctrl or Cmd plus Z to undo, and the corresponding redo shortcut to restore an edit.
3. Download a new copy
Review the edited page, open the download dialog and save a separate file. Inspect the downloaded file rather than relying only on the preview.
Check the result
Check that the intended annotation, rather than the wrong page or object, was selected.
What to know
The editor’s session history is not a permanent backup. Keep the original file.
