Add a rectangle to a PDF

Before you start

A PDF you have permission to edit and a saved original copy.

Open the PDF editor and choose your document. Navigate to the correct page and zoom in until the target area is clear.

Draw a box around the relevant area. Adjust its size and styling without covering information the reader needs.

Review the edited page, open the download dialog and save a separate file. Inspect the downloaded file rather than relying only on the preview.

Check the box at normal reading zoom and on rotated pages.

A decorative or annotation rectangle is not secure redaction.
