Draw freehand notes on a PDF

Use the Draw controls in the FOLD editor and verify the downloaded result.

Before you start

A PDF you have permission to edit and a saved original copy.

1. Open and inspect

Open the PDF editor and choose your document. Navigate to the correct page and zoom in until the target area is clear.

2. Use Draw

Use a pointer or touch input to draw the note. Keep strokes short and inspect their appearance before adding more.

3. Download a new copy

Review the edited page, open the download dialog and save a separate file. Inspect the downloaded file rather than relying only on the preview.

Check the result

Zoom back out to see whether the note is legible at the recipient’s normal viewing size.

What to know

Freehand input needs a pointer. Flattened export does not preserve strokes as re-editable tool objects.
