Compare and export an Repaint edit

Use Compare and export in the documented Repaint editor to control a photo cleanup.

Before you start

A source photograph and a clear idea of what you want to remove.

1. Prepare the photograph

Open the Repaint application and load the image. Keep the original and identify any details that must remain unchanged.

2. Use Compare and export

Compare the original and edited result, inspecting the reconstruction area and surrounding detail. Save a separate export and reopen it before sharing.

3. Process and inspect

Apply the cleanup where relevant, inspect it at full-image and close-up views, then export a new copy.

Check the result

Look for repeated textures, blurred edges and discontinuities. Keep the original so you can retry with a different mask.

What to know

Open your project in Repaint to apply these steps to your own image. Refine the selection, compare the changed region with the source and review the export. The homepage comparison uses a prepared sample.
