Correct an Repaint selection

Use Eraser in the documented Repaint editor to control a photo cleanup.

Before you start

A source photograph and a clear idea of what you want to remove.

1. Prepare the photograph

Open the Repaint application and load the image. Keep the original and identify any details that must remain unchanged.

2. Use Eraser

Use the mask eraser to remove accidental strokes from areas you want to preserve. Zoom in around important boundaries before cleaning the mask.

3. Process and inspect

Apply the cleanup where relevant, inspect it at full-image and close-up views, then export a new copy.

Check the result

The selection eraser changes the mask. It is not the same as removing the object from the photo.

What to know

Open your project in Repaint to apply these steps to your own image. Refine the selection, compare the changed region with the source and review the export. The homepage comparison uses a prepared sample.
