HARNESS / GETTING STARTED

How to plan, review and schedule your first campaign in Harness

Write a useful campaign brief, add references, review video production and calendar slots, and confirm publishing status in Harness.

Your first useful result

Harness turns a campaign brief into work you can inspect and schedule. Begin with one audience, one message and one destination. This guide expands the tour's campaign desk, references and calendar into a preparation-to-review workflow without treating planning as publishing approval.

Write a decision-ready campaign brief

Create or open a campaign and describe the audience, what viewers should understand and the intended action. Include facts that must stay accurate and claims to avoid. For a first campaign, choose one feature announcement. Do not ask the planner to infer important prices or promises from a vague slogan or a mood-board image.

Explain what each reference contributes

Add references for pacing, opening, framing or visual direction and describe what should be learned from them. State what must not be copied. A public link does not grant rights to reproduce music, people or video. Keep rights and approvals alongside the brief so production and later review use the same constraints.

Review the engine, settings and budget

Select the available engine and settings for the request, considering duration, resolution, audio and reference support. Read credit information and the maximum quote before a paid action. A reserved maximum is a spending boundary, not a promise that every attempt succeeds or that the whole reservation will be consumed. Review a new quote after changing the request.

Open a slot to make the item concrete

Use the calendar to inspect an individual draft or slot. Check its brief, intended time and destination, then attach or generate the relevant video through the available workflow. A campaign plan supplies context; each item still needs the correct creative and publishing choices. Keep draft preparation separate from final approval.

Watch the actual creative before scheduling

Play the result with sound. Check the opening, product facts, on-screen text, narration, aspect ratio and ending against the brief. Confirm generated claims with your own product information. A visually plausible result can still communicate the wrong offer. Revise the relevant instruction or creative before proceeding rather than assuming another strong reference will repair an inaccurate message.

Confirm the destination and actual outcome

Connect only social accounts you are authorised to use. Review the platform, account and intended time before scheduling. A saved calendar item is not proof of a successful post. Inspect the delivery result afterward; authorization, platform rules and limits still apply. Do not manually resubmit an uncertain operation until its outcome is reconciled. Keep safe job references for support.

Common questions

Does a schedule guarantee the post will go live?

No. Review the platform delivery result and resolve authorization, content or connectivity failures.

How do I continue a campaign later?

Reopen its saved campaign, review references and calendar state, then confirm the specific draft before changing or producing it.
